Established in 2014 in the city of Hafr Al-Batin in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, Hafar Al-Batin University is a public, non-profit university.
Hafar Al-Batin University is the major ÖйúAƬ hub in the city, as well as the surrounding regions which extend across a large geographical space. It is currently split up into three branches offering some 34 academic programmes to around 20,000 students each year.
The university is officially recognised by the Ministry of ÖйúAƬ in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The university offers a scientific focused curriculum in a range of degrees including bachelors and master's.
At present, the university has 10 colleges including the college of applied medical sciences, arts and sciences (Al-Khafji), arts and sciences (Nairiyah), arts and sciences (Quaryah Oliya), business administration, computer science and engineering, education, engineering, sciences and supporting studies at a community college.
The city is found in the dry valley of Wadi al-Batin, which leads towards the inland holy city of Medina.
