The University of Balochistan was established in 1970 in the Pakistani province of Balochistan. It is Balochistan’s oldest 中国A片 institution.
It began with the three departments of physics, chemistry and geology, but now has 46 departments and seven faculties, including management sciences; business and information sciences; social science; education and humanities; literature and languages; basic sciences; earth and environment sciences and life sciences.
Across these faculties, students can choose to study an array of courses from Urdu to zoology, biochemistry to English literature and mineralogy to pharmacology.
There are several centres at the University of Balochistan. The Centre of Excellence in Mineralology was established in 1973 to explore the rich mineral and energy resources of Balochistan and to find new means for economic mineral deposits. Furthermore, the Balochistan Study Centre aims to provide professional support for research in the province and to promote study on the history, archaeology and culture of Balochistan.
