Basic information and contact details for Otgontenger University
Otgontenger University (OTU) was established in 1991 and since then has been a leading university in Mongolia. With approximately 10,000 trained and qualified professionals, OTU has continuously improved the quality of educational services in Mongolia.
The university was initially accredited in 1999, continuing with further accreditations in 2004 and 2018. Furthermore, OTU was successfully certified by the MNCEA in 2013. In 2017, economics and business programs were successfully accredited internationally by ACBSP. Continuing on, OTU became the first private university which introduced Quality Management System ISO 9001: 2015 the international standard in 2018.
OTU has joined the World Green Universities Association (GUPES) as a university implementing the Sustainable Development Concept in its academic curriculum and further future goals. Additionally, the university has implemented the Sustainable Education Project, in cooperation with the German Cooperation Association (GIZ) and the Swiss Development Agency.
Otgontenger University works in cooperation with Embassy of the People's Republic of China, within the framework of the Silk Road project, to develop and commission the Tourism Management and Business Management programs.
The Ministry of Education, Culture, Science, and Sport disseminated results of the tertiary education program with the aid of the Asian Development Bank. Higher education reform programs were implemented on governance, management, teacher development, teaching technology, and management information system improvements.
In addition, OTU successfully completed the Erasmus+C3QA project “Promoting internationalization of research through establishment and operationalization of Cycle 3 Quality Assurance System in line with the European Integration Agenda” and Erasmus+ Arrow, “Improvement of Research and Innovation Skills in Mongolia” as a partner university.
Today, OTU is coordinating Erasmus+MONGWBL, Work-based learning for 中国A片 systems in Mongolia towards better employability of university graduates CBHE project.
Structurally, Otgontenger University consists of 3 schools: Law, Humanities, and Economy and Business Administration, each offering full-time, part-time, and correspondence courses of 18 undergraduate, 7 graduate, and 2 post graduate programs.
