Basic information and contact details for EM Strasbourg Business School

institution

Based in Strasbourg, the capital of the Alsace region, a city whose location and history have ensured strong influence from both France and Germany, EM Strasbourg proclaims another form of duality. Formed in 1919, and a Grande Ecole since 2000, it has been attached to the University of Strasbourg since 1956 and describes itself as "the only French business school which is part of an academic centre of excellence".

It points to this relationship as offering the academic credibility and expertise of the university and access to local partnerships, both public and private, while retaining autonomy as a business school. The merger with IAE Strasbourg in 2007 means that it is also part of two significant national networks in business education and research. It is aaccredited by AACSB and EFMD.

Under the slogan of "Be Distinctive", with values proclaimed as "Sustainable Development, Ethics and Diversity" it aims to “educate competitive, responsible agile managers to become global citizens”. Undergraduate courses are predominantly taught in French and masters’ programmes in English. The bachelor in international business Grand Ecole course, which divides into Young Entrepreneur and International Business streams, also includes two consecutive semesters of study abroad at one of 230 international partners, while more than 500 exchange students are hosted each year.

Offices were opened in Paris and in China in 2011, followed by Brussels and Mexico City in 2016. Of the 22 dual degrees offered worldwide, five are in Germany, two in Vietnam and one in each of Brazil, Colombia and Slovakia.
