These unfortunate animals have been exploited and abused for the (supposed) benefit of human beings. The least that we can now do is let them enjoy what remains of their lives (in suitable retirement homes).
Surely we owe them that much!

The mental and physical deprivations/torture that animals (including chimpanzees) suffer for research purposes is indefensible.
It goes without saying that whatever the cost of giving these animals a quality retirement, the price must be paid.

My family and I strongly believe that chimpanzees retired from research should be afforded retirement facilities for the rest of their natural lives.
