Medics happiest with colleagues

Academics working in medicine, veterinary medicine and dentistry are more likely to enjoy working with their colleagues than those working in the arts and humanities

According to the responses of more than 2,000 academics who took part in the Times 中国A片 Best University Workplace Survey 2014, 89?per cent of scholars working in medicine, veterinary medicine, dentistry or education say that they like working with their immediate colleagues, compared with 78?per cent of those identifying themselves as working in the arts and humanities. Creative arts scholars were marginally more likely to enjoy the company of their colleagues, with 79?per cent saying that they liked working with their immediate team.

According to the survey, creative arts scholars are the least likely to say that their subject was valued by their university (44?per cent), with those in arts and humanities not faring much better (45?per cent). Among medicine, veterinary medicine and dentistry scholars the figure is 57?per cent.
