GERMAN RELATIONS

Postwar British cartoons depicting Germany are being exhibited at the University of Wales, Cardiff Student Union Building, Park Place, until May 31. The 75 cartoons concentrate on Anglo-German relations from both sides between the 1950s and 1990s. The collection features the work of Vicky, Michael Cummings, William Rushton, Steve Bell, Horst, Hatzinger and Loriot. The exhibition in the staff dining club is open 9am to 7pm. POLYMODEL 16

Polymodel is an organisation formed by the former north-eastern polytechnics and local industry to promote collaboration. This year's annual conference is on May 23-24 and is entitled "Applications of Artificial Intelligence", to be held at the Washington Conference Centre, University of Sunderland. BORDERLINES FESTIVAL

Anglia Polytechnic University's second annual arts festival ends on May . The festival features the pleasures and problems of the boundaries by which we live, ranging across Indian pop, Caribbean writing, classic theatre and the British obsession with Woolworths.
