Prosaic treatment

A competition to encourage medical students to write poetry is no doubt admirable ("Evoke Calliope to ease the brutalising disease", 22 September). Unfortunately, none of the winning entries is a poem: each is simply a chunk of prose arbitrarily chopped into lines of unequal length.
