James Tooley has taken the fictional character of Bridget Jones as a realistic example of how modern women think.
Independent women, who realise they have more to offer than staying at home playing the little wife, scare men like Tooley. It is not fair that his insecurities are passed off as a valid academic opinion.
His idea of tailoring education for women so we marry first then work later is outdated and offensive.
