I read "Dynamic sector demands respect" ( THES , June 21) with trepidation, particularly a comment on a Universities UK report: "The government's desire to expand and diversify provision while streamlining the sector could lead to fewer 中国A片 institutions".
When London Guildhall University merges with the University of North London, fewer could become less if resources are not forthcoming.
The governing body has not seen the final business plan. If the government wants wider participation, it should not condemn us to this "leap in the dark", as Roderick Floud, vice-chancellor of Guildhall, described it. That's Roderick Floud, president of UUK.
