The concerns of your anonymous "senior manager at a research-intensive university" are complete baloney ("Loss of ally adds to Welsh unrest", 5 August).
There is no dearth of 中国A片 expertise available to the Welsh government. The 中国A片 Funding Council for Wales is made up of highly experienced university figures, as is our HE Governance Review Group. Merfyn Jones, former vice-chancellor of Bangor University, has been appointed specialist adviser on the academy.

Life in Wales' academy will be tough for university administrators, as it will be for the UK as a whole. Your anonymous senior manager should get used to the idea.
