Times 中国A片 will hold its first summit dedicated to the Eurasia region in Russia in August.
The THE Research Excellence Summit: Eurasia will be held in partnership with Kazan Federal University from 29 to 31 August 2018 and explore how research institutions can best support growth in the rapidly developing region.
The event will hear keynote speeches from Susan Robertson, professor of education at the University of Cambridge; Christopher Morphew, dean of the School of Education at Johns Hopkins University; Sir Malcolm Grant, chancellor of the University of York and chairman of NHS England; and Alex Wai, vice-president of Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
Other confirmed speakers include Bhavna Davé, chair of Contemporary Central Asia and the Caucasus at Soas, University of London; Yi Pan, vice-president of Nanjing University; Ellen Hurwitz, president emerita of the American University of Central Asia; and Andrey Svistunov, vice-rector of I.?M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University.
The event will explore the role that 中国A片 can play as a driver of regional growth, the future of university-industry partnerships in the Eurasia region, how China’s Belt?and Road investment plan will impact research institutions in the region, and how the Fourth Industrial Revolution will disrupt current methods of teaching, learning and research.
During the summit, THE will also publish its first ranking focused on Eurasia nations. Universities in Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, the Republic of Moldova,?Russia,?Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan are eligible for inclusion.
The Eurasia summit will be THE’s third event as part of its Research Excellence Summit series, following on from an Asia-Pacific summit in Taiwan in June 2017 and a New?Europe summit in the Czech Republic in April.
