对于 Zamzam University for Science and Technology
Zamzam University for Science and Technology was established in 2012 by the non-profit Zamzam Foundation in the Somali capital of Mogadishu to offer a range of training programmes. It acquired university status and its present name within a year.
It first started offering graduate-level classes in 2013.
Students can study a range of programmes including medicine, agriculture, engineering technology, civil engineering, computer science, and business and management and offers master's courses in agribusiness management and strategic management along with diplomas in climate change and disaster reduction management.
The university's two main research groups include the Centres for Poultry Production at Zamzam Techno Park and Sustainable Agriculture and Environmental Studies at the Innovation Park.
It has played a significant role in introducing greenhouses into Somali agriculture. Rare before 2010, there are now more than 2,000 in the country. And Mogadishu’s first modern egg farm was set up in partnership with the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) in 2021.
In December 2023 the medical school launched a free clinic for displaced people in Mogadishu and Baidco.
