对于 Ariel University
Ariel University’s origins can be traced back to 1982 when its predecessor college was established. The college was affiliated with Bar-Ilan University until 2004 when it gained independence. In 2012 it was granted university status and became Ariel University.
The university is located in the Israeli settlement of Ariel in the West Bank. The campus sits at the highest point of the city of Ariel, providing breath-taking views of the region’s mountains and valleys. These views stretch from the Mediterranean coast in the west to the Samarian Hills in the east. The university has played a major role in the development of Ariel, helping it to become the region’s cultural, commercial, and industrial centre.
There are three faculties at the university, namely the Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Natural Sciences, and Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities. The university also has four schools specialising in the fields of architecture, communication, health sciences, and medicine, as well as a School for Graduate Studies.
Ariel University’s Incentive Incubator has helped to develop new companies and helped them to achieve success. The university has over 20 research centres including The Schlesinger Family Center for Compact Accelerators, Radiation Sources & Applications (FEL), The Integrative Brain Science Center – Ariel IBSCA, Ariel Center for Applied Cancer Research (ACACR) and the Ariel Cyber Innovation Centre among others.
At the heart of the university is the Student Union, which recognises that social life is an important aspect of the student experience. It therefore organises a variety of academic, cultural, and sports events throughout the year for students to participate in.
