(Photograph) - Balkan briefs: high powered Albanian students including a judge and two "inspectors of law" set to work on the gruelling one-year common professional examination being offered by the London branch of the College of Law under a scholarship scheme for central and East European lawyers funded largely by the Foreign Office and the Soros Foundation. So far Pounds 140,000 has been promised, but the college is appealing for sponsors to fund the remaining costs of around Pounds 47,000.
