The Department of Trade and Industry is to offer awards worth Pounds 750,000 for developers of multimedia content, including one for students or recent graduates. The scheme will be announced on July 25, and the Open University's Knowledge Media Institute is rumoured to be preparing a simultaneous launch on the World Wide Web.
