THE HITTITE EMPIRE. The Hittite Empire, a Black performance group, will change its Los Angeles home for a Leeds campus for four days of workshops and performance, September 26-29. On September and 28 they will perform a series of warrior tales River: I don't trust them any more. Youth workshops will be held on September 26 (1-4pm men only; 6-9pm open to men and women). PRACTICE MANAGEMENT

Two one-day conferences on "Practice Management" have been arranged, one in London on September 28, the other in Liverpool on October 5. They focus on the changing nature of professional work, managing creativity and strategic marketing. They are intended for training staff, academics responsible for course design, staff involved in education/training or professional practice departments in institutions. AFASIC-I CAN CONFERENCE

A conference has been organised by AFASIC, a charity representing children and young people with speech and language impairment, in collaboration with I CAN, a key provider for parents, speech and language therapists, teachers, LEA officers, educational psychologists and occupational therapists.
