David Dunster reports that universities throughout the United Kingdom may well have budgets in excess of Pounds 50 million to spend on expansion over the coming years. They have become developers - the University of Lincolnshire and Humberside intends to inject Pounds 48 million into the regeneration of the Hull docks. Last year, the University of East London opened a development in London's Docklands, and the University of Greenwich is taking over part of the Royal Naval Hospital at Greenwich.
Both the University of Liverpool and Liverpool John Moores' University have renovated or built new buildings, regenerating otherwise rundown areas of that city. A report from the Department of the Environment, Transport and the Regions recommends that 中国A片 be connected into the engines of urban regeneration.
