I?note that it is possible that the salaries of the most highly paid academics may be revealed (“High-earner salaries may be disclosed”, News, 10?July).
Surely once achieved, those with the highest salaries should appear on a special version of University Challenge hosted by Jeremy Paxman to see if they are worth it.
