Parent company (2)

八月 6, 2004

So, a spokesman for Leeds Metropolitan University believes "parents... should be able to look around a university at any time and sit in on a lecture to see what it's like".

The spokesman is obviously a marketing droid. I would not tolerate parents of prospective candidates sitting in on a lecture at any time. Visit days are for applicants and open days for the general public.

The rest of the time we are paid (not enough) to lecture to existing students.

What next? Are we going to allow parents to wander into halls of residence any time to "see what it's like"?
